Biggies Raw Pantry

There’s always something we can create together.

The story

A friend first.

Over the years, Jade and I became friends, and the line between work and friendship became a little blurry. Sometimes there was a paid project, sometimes Lexie was paid in treats, and sometimes I helped simply because I wanted to.

There have been website changes, product photos, flyers, sales graphics and plenty of conversations in between. I have joined in giveaways through my pet photography - we even raised money for QSAR together - captured milestones at the shop, and spent many hours talking through ideas or helping with technical questions. The work below grew out of that ongoing relationship.

A cleaner shop, with a playful personality.

Jade’s original store ran on WordPress and WooCommerce. I helped install a new template, then customised it using Elementor Pro to make it feel like Biggies. We also had fun with deliberately over-the-top AI characters: dogs popped up from the bottom of the home-page banners while photographed products animated around them. These captures show the designs as stills.

Lexie had one job: don’t eat the treat.

For the new product range, I photographed Lexie holding a treat and used the image across a matching website banner and printed flyer. Getting the shot involved teaching her to hold it without biting. A little patience behind a very willing product model!

A new shop, and a day worth remembering.

I attended the retail store’s grand opening and captured photographs and video: memories for Jade, and material she could use for little social reels afterwards. It was a chance to show the shop, the people and the excitement of opening the doors.

Photography & Video

Over the years I have captured many photos and videos for Biggies using my own two models, Buddy & Lexie. I've been able to train Lexie to hold bags, hold treats without chewing them and of course capture moments of my dogs just being a dog enjoying treats!

I've tried to be mindful to allow space in imagery for captions or headings so the media can be used across different media.

A reason to celebrate. Something to share.

From occasional sales to the shop anniversary, I created website and newsletter banners and printable promotional pieces as Jade needed them.

Email blocks she could use again.

I designed the email system entirely using Omnisend’s email blocks. Jade can swap sections, add new product images, change photos and build her own emails while keeping the curves, playful backgrounds and overall styling intact. It gives her creative freedom within a consistent design, so each new email still feels like Biggies.

Good dogs. A very good sale.

I designed the Good Dogs sale graphics in Illustrator, using elements from the email design to tie the banner and social carousel together. It gave Jade another way to use the new design elements and start building a cohesive brand style across her emails and promotions.

Making the products move.

Jade wanted something eye-catching for her Christmas range, but the puddings weren't in stock yet, so the only photos were from last year. Instead of booking a shoot, I used Claude to work with ChatGPT and rebuild the product from scratch: a clean version of the bag without the wrinkles, and the puddings as separate pieces shot from different angles. Having every piece separate meant each one could drop in, float and spin on its own.

The first round didn't look right. The puddings were too round and too uniform, more like rissoles than Jade's puddings, which are clumps of different-sized meat melded together. I mocked up the layout myself, flattening the puddings and placing everything where I wanted it, then we regenerated all four puddings to match the real texture and colour. Once they were remade, I honestly couldn't tell them apart from the real thing.

From there it was the details: shadows lit from the top front right, a voiceover with the right tone, and timing adjusted until the words and sound effects landed exactly. The Chew Box ad was built the same way.

I also cut the pudding spin down into a square GIF for the Christmas newsletter. I set it up in Omnisend and sent a test email to confirm it animated in both Gmail and Apple Mail.
